A Testimonial from a Client's Mother

We are passionate about and proud of the results we have achieved from dedicating our lives to passing on the miracle of recovery that has saved so many of us that work at Confidential Recovery.

Occasionally, there are moments that stand out as poignant reminders of how important this work is (like our 10th Anniversary Celebration in 2024).

Recently, we received a letter from the parent of one of our clients that was very meaningful to us, and she encouraged us to share it with others in the hopes that it might shine a light on what transpires in the rooms of Confidential Recovery. That letter is included below, in its entirety (with only the author's name redacted to protect her anonymity). You can also click here to read the letter.

Confidential Recovery is Here to Help You or Your Family Member

If you know someone who is in crisis, or may be approaching that point due to substance misuse, we urge you to call us today at  (619) 752-7590, and you will likely be talking to Zicciah Topping (or "Z" as he is referred to in this letter). The call  will be completely confidential, complementary, and we will assess your situation and make our  best recommendation on  what resources are available to you and what your options are and how you might proceed, regardless of whether it involves our treatment program or not.

Confidential Recovery was founded 11 years ago by Scott  Silverman, nationally renown Family Crisis Coach and author, who has been in recovery for 40 years, has been working to help people recover for 30, and has been recognized by the city of San Diego with Scott H. Silverman day (February 19th, 2008).  He is also available to answer your call about a relative in crisis at (619) 993-2738.

Remember that the disease of addiction is insidious and powerful, but there is HOPE and HELP available. Millions of people live in joyous recovery from it every day - ask us how!

Scott H. Silverman
CEO / Founder
Scott found himself "hitting bottom" in 1984 and accepted that he needed help for his problem and pursued treatment and long-term recovery. After pursuing his own recovery, Scott dedicated his life to helping others who struggle with the same mental health and addiction issues that caused him so much pain. Scott has made an indelible mark on the lives of many in San Diego. He has been on KUSI dozens of times to raise awareness about the dangers that we face, and to speak a message of recovery.
